Metal injection molding (MIM) process is a high-tech forming technology, which combines the traditional powder metallurgy and plastic injection molding process. It overcomes the shortcomings of the traditional powder metallurgy products which is low density, inhomogeneous materials, low mechanical performance and difficult to forming thin-walled complex parts. It’s suitable for mass production of complex shape, high precision, high-performance requirements of small metal parts. Sintered products not only have the same complex shape and high precision as the plastic injection molding products, but also have physical, chemical and mechanical properties close to the forging products. |

This technology is called Metal Injection Molding (MIM), introduced to Chinese circle by Professor Huang Kunxiang who is retired from Taiwan University. He committed to this work from the powder metallurgy laboratory of RPI’s German professor (Prof.RM German- PM LAB.) in 1985. And finally in 2008, the US Apple computer Inc. began to notice the fifth-generation of metal processing technology, after using MIM parts to replace the traditional die casting parts as Apple's mobiles phones and notebook internal and external parts in 2011, MIM industry shows explosive growth in the past five years (2011 to 2015), including market applications, products, MIM equipment, MIM parts manufacturers, as well as the MIM parts processing plant, promotes strong vitality to the industry; On the land of the world's manufacturing center, flowers are blooming and fruit are bearing.
